What to See in the Cayman Islands ...

What to See in the Cayman Islands

If you are looking for a fantastic Caribbean destination to travel to, you need look no further than the Cayman Islands. From the pristine white sand beaches and crystal clear waters for swimming, diving, snorkeling, or sailing the Cayman Islands are a vacation spot that is not to be missed. If you enjoy traveling to a destination that has it all, you should consider planning a trip to the Cayman Islands.

Cayman Islands

Originally the Cayman Islands were named Las Tortugas because of the turtles that were often found sunning themselves on the beautiful beach sands. But, eventually the named changed to reflect the indigenous crocodile called “Caymanas”. The Cayman Islands consist of a group of three islands: Grand Cayman, the largest, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. The island chain is located south of Cuba and northwest of Jamaica. The Cayman Islands are a territory of the United Kingdom, colonized by the British during the 18th and 19th century. The islands became part of the Federation of the West Indies in 1959, but when the Federation dissolved the Cayman Islands chose to remain a British territory.

But, enough of facts and history - the main reason tourists choose to visit the Cayman Islands lies in the white sand beaches (including the famous Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman) and the fantastic diving and snorkeling. Grand Cayman itself is a low-lying limestone reef which allows visitors the opportunity to view fantastic tropical life just a short distance from the shore. Scuba diving and snorkeling here is considered some of the best in the world.

What to do in the Dominican republic

The Caribbean nation of the Dominican Republic is part of the island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles archipelago. Hispaniola lies west of Puerto Rico and east of Cuba. The Dominican Republic makes up the eastern third of Hispaniola, and the nation of Haiti makes up the other part of the island.

What to do in the Dominican republic

For most of its history, the Dominican Republic has experienced political turmoil and unrest and has suffered through many non-representative and tyrannical governments. The present-day nation has moved toward representative democracy.

The island is a classed as tropical maritime with a wet season from May to November. It can also be prone to hurricanes in season, from June to November.

Like its Caribbean neighbors, Dominican Republic is made up of a blend of European colonists, Tainos Indians and Africans. The official language spoken there is Spanish, with Haitian Creole, English, French, German and Italian also heard in varying degrees.

Here?s How Affiliate Marketing Works ...

Here’s How Affiliate Marketing Works

A while back you might have read Brian’s Effective Copywriting Tactics for Affiliate Marketing, which offered some great advice. But something tells me you might have wondered how to apply that advice to real-life affiliate marketing.

I’m going to show you exactly how I implemented those 5 tips with the Thesis theme affiliate program. And this isn’t theory–I used these five steps to earn a four-figure commission check in just ten days.

1. Endorsements

“Effective endorsements are sincere and enthusiastic based on real experience with the product or service.”

In the case of a blog theme, the strongest endorsement you can give is using the theme for your own blog. I bought the developers membership for Thesis, which allows use of the theme on an unlimited number of sites and other perks.

I left the credit link to the theme in the footer even though my membership didn’t require it, but changed it from a direct link to an affiliate link. Combine that with spending the time to heavily customize the theme for my own site, and you see that I not only endorsed the product, but also showed the heights to which it could be taken with a little work and ingenuity.
2. Reviews

“…you add credibility by pointing out how the product or service isn’t perfect (let’s face it, there are very few perfect offerings), and then go on to explain why the imperfection doesn’t negatively impact your perception and enjoyment of the product or service.”

I decided to do an in-depth review of the Thesis theme after I had used it for a few days and spent a lot of time getting used to working with it and what it could do. I was completely honest in my review (and gave full disclosure on my status as an affiliate), citing why I liked the product, why I used it, the benefits I received from using it, and also a wish list for future upgrades (also known as complaints).

Carb Loading Carbohydrate loading...

Carb Loading

Carbohydrate loading is a method that has been used for at least 20 years now by marathon runners and other endurance athletes. The idea behind carb loading is that you would eat a huge amount of carbohydrates, usually complex carbohydrates in the 12-18 hours before competition. The Mayo Clinic came up with this great primer on the how, what and why of Carb loading.

Carb Loading Tips

Carbohydrate loading can improve your performance during high-intensity endurance exercise. Use this strategy to prepare for a marathon, triathlon or another endurance event.
Perhaps you’re training for a marathon or triathlon. Or maybe you’re a long-distance swimmer or cyclist. Whatever your sport, if you plan to complete 90 minutes or more of high-intensity exercise, carbo-loading (carbohydrate loading) may improve your performance.
Carbohydrates: The body’s fuel
The food you eat contains carbohydrates, protein and fat. These nutrients supply the calories your body uses for energy. Although your body needs all three nutrients, carbohydrates are your body’s primary source of energy.

Carbohydrates are found in grains, vegetables and legumes (beans and peas). They are also found in sugar and sweets, including fruit and dairy products. Each gram of carbohydrate contains four calories.
During digestion, your body converts carbohydrates into sugar. The sugar enters your bloodstream and is transferred to individual cells to provide energy. Your body may not immediately need all of this sugar, however. So it stores the extra sugar in your liver and muscles. This stored sugar is called glycogen.

Identity theft occurs when someone uses your personal
information without your permission to commit fraud or other
crimes. While you can’t entirely control whether you will become
a victim, there are steps you can take to minimize your risk.

If you think your identity has been stolen, here’s what to do:

What to do about Identity Theft

1. Contact the fraud departments of any one of the three consumer reporting companies to place a fraud alert on your credit report. The fraud alert tells creditors to contact you before opening any new accounts or making any changes to your existing accounts. You only need to contact one of the three companies to place an alert. The company you call is required to contact the other two, which will place an alert on their versions of your report, too. Once you place the fraud alert in your file, you’re entitled to order free copies of your credit reports, and, if you ask, only the last four digits of your Social Security number will appear on your credit reports.

2. Close the accounts that you know or believe have been tampered with or opened fraudulently. Use the ID Theft Affidavit (PDF, 56 KB) when disputing new unauthorized accounts.

3. File a report with your local police or the police in the community where the identity theft took place. Get a copy of the report or at the very least, the number of the report, to submit to your creditors and others that may require proof of the crime. es your personal information without your permission to commit fraud or other crimes. Great place to play in New York N...

Great place to play in New York

New York actually has a lot to offer young and old, children who use either a little better than playing a great game, movie or otherwise. For those of you who use this pastime, there are many unique opportunities in New York, where you can take part in the games so much and enjoy spending time with friends and family.

Great place to play in New York

Astroland Amusement Park on Coney Island has much to offer adventurous players. From the excitement and chills at half way to the Cyclone Roller Coaster and many wonderful rides in between, this park also offers arcade game along the way, where you can play video games of all kinds. This is great for those rainy days when you can not ride on a ride, or simply when it is too hot to stand in a queue. It is also a great experience for father and sun tie play games together and see who has the advantage of the moment.

Dave and Busters is a unique dining experience, offering a wide selection of game options. This is not your average arcade food by any means. In fact, it’s not your arcade or their children are playing arcade. Dave and Busters offers good food and great fun under one roof, and if you have the opportunity, I recommend you take a big kid in you to try it out.

Makes Broadway New York Sing When...

Makes Broadway New York Sing

Whenever I think about traveling to New York, or on vacation or at a distance of one or two day visit I can not help but think of Broadway and the great shows that are waiting in these hallowed halls of entertainment delight. Broadway is the essence of New York to me.

This may in turn be bawdy, brawling, loud, loud, soft, romantic, comedic, and rip-roaringly funny. Broadway has it all for those who are willing to look for their perfect fit.

What to see on Broadway New York

The problem with Broadway is that there are so many wonderful shows to see and such limited time (for most of us), in which they see. I do not believe even those who live in New York have enough time to appreciate the artistic treasure, which is represented in this wonderful city that never sleeps. The truth is, that the proper use of all available theater offers to you, I almost never have to sleep alone.

New York Musicals

It is important to remember that not all programs are available at any time. Check whether the program you will want to watch during the visit, before you get your hopes. On to the musicals, which, incidentally, my favorite types of Broadway entertainment. Chicago Musical, Forbidden Broadway (this offers a fun spoof on Broadway), Jersey Boys, Naked Boys Singing (yes, they are!), Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Wicked and Mama Mia!

Home and quiet time

Well winter came again here in Calgary. What is it about the weather here that makes it so that I can ride my Bike through December and January and then in early March I am back on Calgary Transit taking a couple of busses to work because the snow is bad the weather cold and the slush stopping my bike in a rut.

Spring is coming, I know it and I get up and walk to the bus stop knowing that soon I will be putting on a pairt of shorts again in the morning and biking in to work in the brightness of late looking morning. I also look forward again to getting out of work and then hitting the playground with the kids.

I have always loved Calgary since we moved here 10 years ago from rainy Vancouver but still I have never adjusted to the coldness of the winter, and don't believe anyone that says that the cold is refreshing or a great way to see different weather. I am sure that no Calgarian really likes having a frozen face or icy fingertips.

Come on Summer, I'm waiting for you!

New websites for lotteries and kitchen appliances

I just ran across a couple of sites. One has lots of lottery information and the second one is for Kitchen Appliances.

Isn't is great how there is so much infomration on the internet at your fingertips. I have run into a slew of sites klike the ones above that have a lot of indexing and directories. What they always seem to incluse is articles, news stories and top sites of you to vissit. I love being able to see the tiop sites as it gives me more place to find what i am looking for than just goping to one siteaand hoping that what I need is there, I guess that is why Google has become such an essential tool over the years.

Over time I have been working on more and more real estate and fitness sites and have added these sites as just kind of a sideline. My plans over the next few weeks are to build more and more autoresponder type files so that people can get things emailed directly to them on a consistent basis, health news or fitness facts or even marketing information.

Canadian Election today

Today here in Canada we have an election today and most of the polls say that we will have a change in government. Over the last 150 years or so here in Canada we have almost always had a majority government and that government has organized power in the Prime Ministers office to the point were the Canadian prime minister has had much more power over the country than a US president is given by the constitution.

If we do have a change in government today the Conservatives would lead with the Bloc Quebecois, Liberals, and NDP having enough power to kick the Conservatives out of power as soon as they think they can themselves thing that they can win another election.

One of our great failings in Canada is that there is never a minority government that has tried to build a successful coalition with another or another two parties. We are looking forward to a second minority government and could possibly see another in a year because there is never consensus building before a government is formed.

Let’s hope that changes tomorrow.

Meditation for beginners

I have found the following article on meditation for beginners. I have been interested in meditation for years but have not gotten back to it in a long time. I hope that by posting some articles on meditation that maybe I will get back to it again.

Stress and anxiety seem to be the health issues we are dealing with these days. So many people dealing with too much work, too many bills, not enough peace and quiet. Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could get away, to a beautiful place of peace and quiet, for even just five minutes a day?

During this article, you will learn how to create an Inner Sanctuary. A place where you can go, that no-one else can visit. You won't be disturbed by the phone, or the kids, or traffic, it won't cost you anything to go there, and there's no travel. You can spend as little or as much time there as you choose, and visit as often as you like.

The Inner Sanctuary is not a cure-all for the stress of daily living, it is important to develop a number of tools to help you live a healthier life. However, the Sanctuary is a very helpful and powerful tool and is easy for anyone to use.

Creating your Inner Sanctuary is a very simple exercise. You don't even have to know how to meditate. By simply using your imagination, you can develop the most wonderful place, solely for your use.

Here are some guidelines to help you:-

Choose a place of nature, a forest, a beach, a desert, whatever feels peaceful to you.
Include running water somewhere in your place, a waterfall, a pool, the ocean are all wonderful choices.

If you live in a mainly hot climate, make sure there is plenty of shade and cool in your sanctuary. Likewise, if you live in a cold area, have lots of snuggly areas, you could even create a cosy little cabin with a fireplace, or choose somewhere warm like the beach.

Remember that you can add or change areas to your Sanctuary, any time you choose.
Once you have designed your sanctuary, try it out. Using your imagination, feel yourself walking around, breathing in the clean, fresh air, floating in the water, washing off the cobwebs and tiredness under the waterfall. Sinking deep into the cool earth to be replenished, nourished and nurtured. Recognise that there is no time here, no pressure, no expectations. This is a place of healing and nurturing, pure freedom. Breathe slowly the whole time you are here, this regulates your body's rhythms and calms you down.

Take your time developing your relationship with this place. This is always meant to be a place of peace, healing and joy for you, so make sure you use it to clear away any stress or frustration. Swimming, wading in water or standing under a waterfall is a wonderful way to clear away the dust and dirt of living. Once you've cleared up the stress, spend a bit of time enjoying the peace of your sanctuary before returning to the physical world.

After a while of visiting this Sanctuary, you will find that you can visit it for just a few seconds at work when you are feeling harrassed, or in a traffic jam where feelings of frustration build so quickly, and harmony is restored.

Now that you have your Inner Sanctuary, it is important to make use of it. Not just in quiet times at home, but also in your toilet break at work and other times of stress. The more you use it, the better you will get at dealing with stress and frustration.
